RACHEL AVNER TORRANCE, M.ED, BCBA, COBA
Rachel began studying ABA in the 1990’s at The Ohio State University while studying under the distinguished Drs. Cooper, Heron, and Heward. After obtaining her masters and teaching Special Education, in 2011 she began consulting in school, employment, home and community settings. During that time she became board certified. In 2015 she founded Accessing Abilities, LLC and primarily supervised professionals pursuing certification. She went full-time with the agency in 2017. Today, Rachel leads trainings, supervises world-wide and oversees the agency in meeting it’s mission through various initiatives. Her primary areas of focus are 1) training professionals, 2) complex cases (such as dual diagnosis, multiple disabilities or long histories of ongoing behaviors) and 3) working with multi-disciplinary teams to best meet specific needs with positive supports while keeping students in their school setting.
